My Experience With BPA

An incredible opportunity to award amazing tallents

My C# award at the Michigan State Award Ceremony 2024

In my junior year of highschool, I decided to take a vocational school class for C++ programming. I, of course, learned how to code in C++, but I was also given the opportunity to compete at a national level for C# and Python.

The Business Professionals of America (BPA) is an organization that holds contests for students to demonstrate profesionalism. They do this at a regional, state, and national level.

I was encouraged to compete in C# and Python, but I also did well in their Programming and IT open events. Because of this, I made it to the national competitions both my junior and senior years.

I studied really hard, not just with books but also with practical experience, and I made guides that even helped other members progress better. Other members of my vocational class joined me and won awards of their own. We all tested each other, and learned so much in the IT field because of it.

BPA taught me profesionalism, allowed me to travel to new places, encouraged me to study hard, and made me enjoy working in groups of new, likeminded people. I am forever greatful for all the awards and memories I got because of BPA, and my vocational School teacher.
